it was new to everybody?

Okay, so I know that I haven’t blogged in a really, really, really long time, but I do have to say that I felt some satisfaction this morning when in my reader there was lots of ado about WordPress 2.7 (it’s release all of it’s changes – apparently this is big news!)…

And then to realize that i just happened to log in and blog about it yesterday.  Although, admittedly, not very intelligently – since I assumed that all the changes had been that way for months. But as it turns out, while i’m behind on most things, I’m apparently ahead on one or two

and we’re back…

Alright so I realize it’s been about 6 months since my last post and that’s just plain unacceptable – especially given the fact that since I’ve last logged in here at wordpress the user inteface has changed considerably…. uh oh.

I found this out this morning when trying to help a colleague make some changes to her locally installed blog (a blog that i suggested be implemented for project communication purposes). We were in a gotomeeting and I was viewing her screen as she tried to make some changes. I couldn’t remember how to find what I wanted her to access so I figured I’d log into my wordpress blog to find what I was looking for…. but this hosted interface has undergone significant changes since my last look and logging in to my dashboard offered no help at all.
This teaches two lessons:

1. blog more and keep up with what’s up.

2. my colleague has an old version of WP running and perhaps should upgrade before she gets this blog going…

Lots has happened since I last wrote — like I read Predictably Irrational (the subject of my last post) among other things. And I got a new job description – same job, kind of (same company, same team, same area of work, different title)… it’s super exciting – more to come on that.
