I’m all psyched up for the 1% well-read challenge.
My list -
- Black Dogs by Ian McEwan – i have no idea what this book is about, i just randomly chose it because I’ve heard of Ian McEwan and never read him.
- Arcadia by Jim Crace – Again, no idea about this book. Never heard of Jim Crace, but I like the title.
- Wild Swans by Jung Chang – I like the title and the author’s name both. But have no knowledge of this book.
- Wise Children by Angela Carter – no idea. just randomly picking….
- White Noise by Don DeLillo – this book is on my bookshelf and I’ve never read it. Now’s a good time.
- The Passion – Jeanette Winterson – Just got this book from a co-worker who was cleaning out her apartment.
- One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest – Ken Kesey – never read it. Seen it performed as a high school play, though. Is this cheating?
- Catch-22 by Joseph Heller – never read it, but I think i picked up a copy at a garage sale…
- The Third Man by Graham Greene – Graham Greene, I should read him, right?
- Lucky Jim by Kingsley Amis – Lucky Jim is always the answer to the multiple choice question. Why? Maybe I’ll find out.
- Go Down, Moses by William Faulkner – I love William Faulkner. And yes, I know, this is the eleventh book in my ten book challenge. But it’s my safety net… if I really can’t stand one of my random selections, I can always use this as a pinch hitter.
What are you reading?
