The Free Range Librarian has a great post about diversity and representation in libraryland that I think everyone should read. I have my own thoughts about this particular topic, however at this point they are not nearly as well developed and aptly phrased as Karen’s. I’m hoping to get back to this topic in the future (in addition to all of the other topics that have been on hold in my brain since June and my trip to the ALA conference in New Orleans – they are coming, I promise!)
Again, I am quickly writing this from the public library… sorry that I cannot get any more writing done than this. The good news is that Apple has finally agreed to replace my broken MacBook so I should have a computer back in my posession within 2 weeks. *fingers crossed*
In the meantime, keep well.

I’ve been out of touch for awhile, I know. If you want to know what’s up with me and my librarian pursuits as of late, be sure to check out my internship blog which is linked over on the right as Smarten Up. There’s some good stuff over there about my life at the public library.
This summer has been jam packed and I have a lot of posts on the brain that I want to get out, but the time has just simply not been available. I’m hoping to get a lot written in August – so stay tuned.
On an unhappy note — my brand new toy, my most beloved MacBook has turned against me offering a grey screen of death as I tried to turn it on this morning. I’m waiting on the box to ship it out to Apple for repair/replacement, but won’t have it back for about 2 weeks.
very upsetting. Until I get it back – and until my schedule calms down – there will unfortunately be not so much on the blogging front.
